Before I moved to Florida, every year my family and I visited Clearwater Beach. During every visit, I always stopped at the Ron Jon Surf Shop to buy souvenirs for friends back home. Not only do they have lots of souvenirs to purchase from, they also have a variety of different beach accessories. Whether you are looking for swimwear, surf boards, beach toys, etc., they have it all! After shopping, head up stairs for some brunch/dinner at Hooters Sport Bar & Grill. What I like about this place is the location. It is located next to Pier 60 where you will find boat and jet ski rentals, fishing equipment, bait shops, etc. It is also a short distance to the beach so after gathering your beach supplies, walk on over to the white sands and enjoy the hot Florida sun.
The Ron Jon Surf Shop was first founded in 1959 in Long Beach, New Jersey. Growing up, Ron DiMenna had a passion for surfing and wanted to sell surfing equipment for anyone who enjoyed the sport as much as he did. After opening his first shop in Jersey, his business began growing. Two years later, he then made his way to Cocoa Beach, Florida where his business expanded and has grown into a world famous surfing destination.

Every Friday and Saturday of every month, Pier 60 plays movies by the beach for FREE! Pier 60 shows films on a big projector – it’s almost as if you are in a movie theater but with a twist. The movie starts at 8pm and all you need to bring are blankets, beach towels, or a low lying beach chair.
